MD Tasker Construction was started in 1959 by Murray D. Tasker. Murray was a life long resident of Northwood and had previously been in the well business with his brother Elmer which was started back in 1947. Murray took the excavating portion of the business in 1959 and started his own company.
Murray’s nephew Lance Benson started working for Murray while attending the University of New Hampshire. Upon graduation from the University of New Hampshire in 1978 Lance decided he preferred dirt work to book work so he continued working with Murray full time and made Northwood his home.
